Professional stump grinding that eliminates trip hazards, prevents regrowth, and leaves your land clean and ready to use. Serving Oklahoma and the Surrounding Region.
After a tree is removed โ or after forestry mulching clears a site โ stumps can remain a persistent problem. They're trip hazards, mowing obstacles, breeding grounds for insects, and eyesores. More importantly, many tree species will regrow aggressively from the root system if the stump is left in place.
Redline Forestry's stump grinding service grinds stumps below grade โ typically 6 to 12 inches below the surface โ eliminating the root crown and preventing regrowth. The resulting wood chips can be left in place as organic fill or raked aside depending on your preference.
We handle stumps from small ornamental trees to large hardwood remnants. Our equipment is sized right for both tight residential lots and open rural acreage. No chemicals, no excavation unless needed โ just clean, efficient mechanical grinding.
Stumps at grade level are a safety risk โ especially on properties with children, livestock, or equipment traffic.
Many species โ especially cedar, elm, and oak โ will send up new sprouts from the root system. Grinding eliminates the crown and stops that cycle.
Stumps damage mower blades, limit where you can drive equipment, and complicate construction layouts. Grinding makes the land fully usable.
Rotting stumps attract termites, carpenter ants, and other wood-boring insects. Removing the stump removes the habitat.
Stump grinding is priced by diameter and quantity. All estimates are free and provided after assessing the stumps on-site. Our minimum for any project is $2,000.
Up to 8" diameter
Priced per stump or by the day depending on quantity. Best addressed as part of a larger clearing project.
12"โ20" diameter
Most common residential and ranch stumps. Efficient single-pass grinding in most cases.
20"+ diameter
Large hardwoods and old-growth stumps. Quoted per stump based on species, diameter, and root complexity.
We typically grind 6โ12 inches below grade, which eliminates the root crown and prevents regrowth in most species. If you need deeper grinding for construction or slab prep, let us know and we'll adjust accordingly.
The grinding process produces wood chips and soil mix. You can leave them in place to decompose naturally (good for soil health), rake them into the surrounding area, or we can discuss disposal depending on the project scope.
Yes. Our forestry mulching head grinds most stumps flush during the mulching process itself. For larger stumps or cases where additional depth is needed beyond the mulching head, we assess on-site and discuss options with you.
Grinding below the root crown stops regrowth in most species. Cedar, elm, and some oak varieties are aggressive sprouters โ we recommend grinding to full depth on those species to prevent new growth.
Chip removal can be arranged depending on project scope. For most rural and acreage jobs, chips are left in place. Contact us to discuss your specific needs.
